Student feedback:
Roxanne is an excellent tutor. Her knowledge is diverse and she is able to speak with expertise in many art media–drawing and painting–watercolor, pastel, charcoal, etc. She is even certified in photography–a must for almost all artists. Roxanne is patient and is quickly able to identify not only her student’s strong points and weaknesses but, amazingly, is able to quickly zone in on what a student’s goals are and where that student wants to go with his or her art. Her years of teaching are very evident. By Joan.

A new watercolor started by Cooper today, please check back to see the progress. This piece of artwork will be mixed medium; watercolor and color pencil.
Wow! This scary tiger came out great. Cooper did an amazing job and learned a lot about realism regarding color pencil, shapes and forms in perspective. This artwork is a 101-102 on a realism scale 101 to a 104. A+. I always recommend sitting the artwork off to the side and just look at it; after awhile you will start to see parts you would still like to work up. Do not frame right away so you are not unframing it to go back into it.
This is where taping off the paper to create borders come in need. The tape was removed to add two inches to the one side and especially the bottom where the legs were out of perspective. The two extra inches allowed us to fix the perspective and make the legs correct. Thumbs U
Aw, this was an incredibly nice post. Taking a few minutes and actual effort to generate a top notch article… but what can I say… I put things off a lot and never manage to get anything done.
